Filter cartridge

A filter cartridge is the removable filtering element that catches particles as spa water passes through it. Many cartridges use pleated material around a central support, with end caps that fit the spa’s filter housing. The pleats provide filtering area within a compact space. The cartridge is one component of the filtration system; the pump supplies the water flow through that system.

Collected debris gradually restricts that flow, which is why the cartridge needs the cleaning routine specified for your spa and filter. Follow those instructions before removing or cleaning it.
