Circulation pump

A circulation pump moves water through a hot tub’s circulation system to support functions such as filtration and heating. Some spas have a dedicated circulation pump alongside one or more jet pumps. Others use a two-speed pump, with a lower speed for circulation and a higher speed for the massage jets. The arrangement depends on the model.

A quiet circulation cycle can therefore be normal even when the massage jets are off. Check the model’s operating guide to learn which pump runs for each function and how its schedule is controlled. Legacy Spas’ resource library includes control-panel references that can help you identify the relevant settings. For a service enquiry, describe which function has changed and record any displayed message rather than identifying a pump by sound alone.
